Wayne joined KC in 2017.  His role is full responsibility of accounting operations reporting to the owners of the company.  He is a seasoned controller with 34 years of experience in construction, manufacturing and insurance with credentials that include a company-wide system implementation, solid financial reporting, work in process, cost accounting, cash flow management, inventory control, budget,  administrative and strong supervisory experience. 

 

This includes day to day department oversight, all financial reporting, supervision, direction and coaching of all accounting personnel, cash flow management, annual budget and re-forecasting, full audit compliance with certified public accountants, insurance compliance, banking and bonding relationships, and safeguarding of company assets.

This role also involves financial statement preparation and presentation, cost accounting, work in process, actual to budget monthly variance analysis / discussion, network coordination and oversight with outside consultants, accounting system liaison and pre-qualification duties.

 

Prior to joining KC Wayne worked as a Controller / VP Finance for SDT, a leading privately owned $15 million system integrator of fire alarm, security, card access, nurse call, communications and sound company for 10 years.  He oversaw and directed the day to day operations of the accounting department including G/L, A/R, A/P, payroll, inventory and job costing departments.
 

Adding to this experience Wayne occupied several key management positions.  He worked for Carr & Duff back in 2005 and was responsible for the entire accounting system conversion of a $50 million company using the Geac AEC Business Solutions, Starbuilder accounting package. He coordinated training meetings, assembled staff and directed data entry functions for live transition to the new system. He also was the site Controller for Melcor, a unit of Laird Technologies with sales approaching $1 billion, crunching numbers and presenting financial results and also worked with the CFO of Heucotech, a $50 million manufacturer of pigment dispersions reporting and preparing monthly management packages for executive review.

 

In his spare time you can find Wayne out on the ski slopes over the winter, cruising on the seas with his wife and running to keep in shape when he can carve out the time.
